How to Apply for Miss India?

The application for Miss India is carried out online. Participants must follow the following guidelines to complete the application process successfully.

  • Before starting the registration, girls must ensure they have four clear pictures. These include: a close-up, a mid-length picture, a full-body image, and one without makeup. It is recommended to go for a professional photoshoot, specifically as per the application guidelines.
  • To initiate the registration process, girls should use either their official email ID or mobile number. As this is a national-level competition, it is important to maintain professionalism by avoiding email IDs with casual or inappropriate words. If the current email ID looks unprofessional, it is recommended to create a new email ID that reflects their name or initials.
  • Next, provide accurate personal details, which include name, Instagram profile, body measurements, age, and valid contact information. All the requirements in the personal details section are mandatory.
  • Upload specific images in JPG or PNG format. The maximum file size for each image is 5 MB.
  • Accept the terms and conditions before submitting the application form.
  • After submission, a confirmation email will automatically be sent to the registered ID. Participants must check their inboxes and take the necessary steps to complete the application process.

How to Audition For Miss India?

The auditions for Miss India are held at various zone levels. This includes the North zone, north-east zone, south zone, east zone, and west zone. All the participants who are shortlisted after the registration round are informed about the audition timing and venue in advance. On the day of audition, the official partner of Miss India provides makeup and hairdo services at the venue.

Once all the girls are ready, they need to walk one-by-one in front of the jury members. This is the first round and those who get the best scores for their walk are shortlisted for the next round. Further, these selected girls need to clear the introduction round followed by question and answer round to win the zonal miss India title.   

After the zonal auditions, finalists from each state are announced on the Miss India social media handles. It is then that a state winner is announced in the zonal crowning ceremony. Moving further, these state winners compete for the final Miss India Pageant in Mumbai. 

Miss India Audition Guidelines

To maintain uniformity and highlight every participant’s natural charm, the Miss India auditions follow specific requirements. Each shortlisted girl must adhere to these guidelines for the zonal auditions:

  • Outfit: Contestants are expected to keep their look stylish yet minimal. A plain white top paired with blue denim shorts of modest thigh length is the standard dress code.
  • Makeup: Judges prefer contestants to wear a soft, natural look. One must avoid heavy eye makeup or dark lip shades. Instead, light tones like nude or soft pink with a touch of gloss are encouraged. This allows natural beauty to stand out.
  • Hairstyle: Simple, well-groomed hair is best for the auditions. Participants may choose blow-dried, straightened, or soft, curled hair. Here, the focus should remain on a neat and polished appearance.
  • Accessories: Jewelry should be minimal. Flashy or oversized earrings, finger rings, or necklaces are strictly prohibited.
  • Footwear: Minimum 4 inch stilettos in nude or black are a must.
  • Necessary Documents: Applicants must present valid identification and proof of eligibility. This includes a passport (or application receipt), birth certificate, 12th-grade mark sheet, PAN, driving license, proof of employment (if applicable), Aadhaar card, and an affidavit confirming unmarried status on INR 100 stamp paper.

How Miss India is Selected?

Earning a place in the Miss India finals is no easy feat. The selection process is designed to highlight more than just beauty. Contestants are judged on their energy, charm, confidence, communication skills, unique talent, and stage presence under a public scrutiny situation.

Stage 1: City Auditions
